The Bank of Tanzania, in its role as the Secretariat to the National Council for Financial inclusion is responsible for coordinating financial inclusion data from banking, insurance, capital markets, pension and microfinance sub-sectors as guided by the National Financial Inclusion Framework
The financial inclusion data is compiled based on a core set used for measuring the progress of financial inclusion as provided in the National Financial Inclusion Frameworks. The data is derived from supply-side (from financial sector regulators) and demand-side surveys.
The Bank of Tanzania publishes regular and other reports on matters pertaining to access and usage of formal financial products and services.
Further, as the Secretariat to the National Council for Financial Inclusion, the Bank of Tanzania prepares regular and other financial inclusion reports on the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Frameworks.
