The Tanzania Financial Stability Forum, chaired by Governor Emmanuel Tutuba, convened at the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) headquarters in Dodoma on 20th May 2024. The forum discussed various issues concerning the country's financial sector, which has remained robust, supported by strong capital and liquidity positions, a rebound in economic activities, and improved business conditions fostered by effective policies and regulatory actions.
The forum includes regulatory and supervisory authorities of the financial sector, including the Ministry of Finance - United Republic of Tanzania, Ministry of Finance and Planning - Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Prime Minister’s Office, Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disabilities, President’s Office - Regional Administration and Local Government, Bank of Tanzania (BoT), Fair Competition Commission (FCC), Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA), Tanzania Cooperative Development Commission (TCDC), Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA), and Deposit Insurance Board (DIB).
