The Bank of Tanzania is participating in the Sixth Mineral Technology Exhibition which will be held at the Bombambili grounds in Geita Region from September 20th to 30th, 2023.

These exhibitions present a significant opportunity to strengthen the collaboration between the Central Bank and the mining sector in the country.

The Central Bank is participating in these exhibitions to provide public education about its various responsibilities.

Among the responsibilities of the Central Bank is ensuring the country maintains an adequate foreign exchange reserve. In pursuit of this duty, the Central Bank has commenced purchasing gold from miners and sellers in the gold markets within the country.

Through these exhibitions, stakeholders will also have the chance to learn about the procedures for selling their gold to the Central Bank.
