The Financial Consumer Alert List (FCA List) serves as a tool to raise awareness regarding entities that are licensed by the Bank (click here) and entities or schemes which may be incorrectly perceived or portrayed as being licensed by the Bank of Tanzania (BOT).
This list of entities or schemes which may be incorrectly perceived or portrayed as being licensed by the BOT provided here (click here), undergoes regular updates based on information provided by the public, following assessments on the reported entities and schemes. Consumers may refer to the FCA List as one of several ways to determine if a particular entity or scheme has been identified as unauthorized by BOT for offering financial products or services under BOT's regulatory purview.
In addition, the Bank also encourages the Public to visit its webpage on list of licensed financial services providers in order to engage with licensed and regulated financial services providers by the Bank. For licensed entities and schemes regulated by BOT click here.
It’s worth noting that, the Bank of Tanzania in its sole responsibility of protecting consumer of financial services and products under its purview, continues to collaborate with other authorities to enhance trust and confidence in the financial sector.
Consumers are strongly advised to exercise caution and conduct thorough research before engaging with any entity or scheme offering financial services and products.
